WELCOME
Inverness City Centre Management (ICCM) was established in May 1997, to spearhead the creation of a high quality city centre environment that would more than satisfy customer expectations. To date, ICCM has implemented many initiatives to enhance the city centre environment.

Inverness (inbhirnis) – ‘The City in the Highlands’ is one of the UK’s most unique cities, set in the heart of the captivating Highlands. Surrounded by spectacular scenery and of course having Loch Ness on its door step, it not only acts as a great touring base for the breathtaking environment, but it is a fantastic tourist destination in its own right. Every year over a million visitors visit the city and Inverness locals prise themselves on showing these tourists a true highland welcome.

Tourism is one of the key industries within the highlands and the city aims to ensure that quality accommodation and facilities are available. With good rail, road and air connections the city is easily accessible.

The city centre is the heart of the city, and is a vast with shops, eateries, and other businesses. The centre contrasts itself with old and new quarters, illustrating both the cities history and its modernisation. With a unique combination of traditional merchants, national enterprises and pioneering technologies the city has a strong commercial and business community.
