Q) I want to promote an event with posters, where can I display them without illegally ‘fly posting’?
A) ICCM have an information drum on Church Street and a display board on Inglis Street where you can advertise events or promotions free of charge. Simply drop off your posters to the ICCM office and the city centre officer will display these on the drums.
Alternatively if you would like to display posters on any other building, the owner of the property must be contacted before you do so to ask permission. Many venues/businesses are happy to display them, however permission must be granted. If permission is not given then it is deemed as fly posting and the posters will promptly be removed.
To ensure that your posters are not removed, it is best to contact the CCO and inform him when and where you plan to put them up.
